Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) Summer Intern or Co-op

Report to the EHS&S Manager

Requirements:
Desirable candidate will be pursuing a degree in occupational safety/health or closely related field with a strong interest in occupational health and safety in a manufacturing environment. Candidate will be a college sophomore or higher and possess some familiarity with regulatory requirements. Prior occupational safety work experience or familiarity with safety programs including Lockout/Tagout Program, Industrial Hygiene program, safety committee, PPE program, Job Safety Analysis, Machine Guarding, contractor safety, laser safety, and training matrix a plus.

Candidate must be computer proficient, motivated, capable of working both independently and with a team, a problem-solver, possess strong technical skills, and good written and oral communication skills.


Responsibilities:
Work activities may include assisting the EHS&S manager with an array of projects including performing safety and health assessments, participation in the safety committee, conducting safety audits, coordinating and organizing EHS&S data,
address safety and health concerns, and assisting with the development and implementation of written health and safety programs.
