Environmental Consultants and Contractors, Inc., (ECC) is a full-service environmental consulting firm with over 23 years of experience providing quality environmental services in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area. ECC works closely with some of the region’s largest developers and was ranked among Washington Business Journal’s Top Environmental Consultants in 2006 and 2007.  ECC is seeking intelligent, hard working, energetic, dedicated individuals to join our team. ECC has immediate openings for entry-level field geologists and environmental professionals. Successful candidates will be involved in all levels of environmental field investigations and report preparation as part of Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, site characterization and corrective action implementation, and underground storage tank related services. Responsibilities: - Performing soil and groundwater sampling - Conducting site reconnaissance - Coordinating subcontractors - Support senior staff members in implementing projects - Assisting with construction environmental monitoring activities - Conducting historical property use research - Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment report preparation Position Requirements: Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental sciences, or chemical, civil, or environmental engineering.  This is an entry-level position, however, prior work experience in the environmental field is a plus and experienced individuals are encouraged to apply. Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, strong writing and oral communication, and must work well both independently and on project teams. Experience with Corel WordPerfect and CADD a plus.
