Lear Siegler Services is accepting applications for the Sierra Army Depot in Herlong, CA. Herlong, CA is approximately 50-miles north of Reno, NV.THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING. CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK AND READ ENGLISH AND PROVIDE PROOF OF THEIR RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.Per Diem will be paid to those that qualify for 60-days at a rate of $69.30 per day = $4,158.A minimum of five (5) years of full-time verifiable experience working on various equipment is required. Also requires the ability to inspect, repair, measure, cut, and patch sheet metal using sheet metal shears, saws, and rivet guns. Must be able to read and interpret applicable technical manuals and publications. High School diploma or equivalency required. Army maintenance experience highly desired.Knowledge of aluminum and its properties, processes of working it; such as bending, stretching, shrinking, etc. Must possess knowledge of and proficiency in performing welding processes such as inert gas shielded, plasma arc cutting, and electric/acetylene welding processes. Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to determine extent repair, modification, replacement and rebuild required to restore and/or modify hulls on heavy mobile equipment. Skill in the use of hand and power tools such as grinders, files, saws, dollies, drills, welding equipment air tapping tools, brake, basic hand tools, etc. Skill and knowledge in the use of sheet metal working equipment to cut, bend, form and shape irregular curves and angles in the fabrication or modification of parts. Includes the ability to use shop mathematics.Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 40 to 45 pounds. Requires the ability to bend, stoop, crawl, climb, and stand. Job Description : Will service, repair and overall equipment. Repair, replace, and rebuild equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivit gun and drills. Remove major components from equipment using hoist or other lifting devices. Repairs damaged bodies and body parts of automotive vehicles, such as automobiles, buses, and light trucks according to repair manuals, using hand tools and power tools. Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window- and seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders. Positions block against surface of dented area and beats opposite surface to remove dents, using hammer. Fills depressions with solder or other plastic material. Removes damaged fenders, panels, and grills, using wrenches and cutting torch, and bolts or welds replacement. Straightens bent frames, using hydraulic jack and pulling device. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. Refinishes repaired surface, using paint spray gun and sander. Aims headlights, aligns wheels, and bleeds hydraulic brake system. May paint surface after performing body repairs. hjlsi06 : : EOE M/F/D/V
