Estimating Engineers

Position Description:

This position will offer you the opportunity to develop your practical knowledge of the various electrical components of coal and combustion turbine power plants. Responsibilities include:? Coordinating and working with project team members, the client, and contractors.? Preparing and developing bill of material lists from design engineering drawings? Scoping, organizing, and pricing of equipment, material, and labor costs for estimates? Preparing cash flow, escalation, and interest calculations for estimates? Preparing analyses to aid in setting the contingency for estimates? Analyzing, organizing, and inputting cost and quantity information into an existing database system? Developing cost escalation projections from internal data and industry sources

Qualifications:

5 or more years of experience preparing cost estimates for fossil power plants or heavy industrial plants in the mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, electrical systems areas.Requirements also include:? Experience estimating from conceptual through definitive phases of the project? Experience in the utilization of cost estimating & database tools? Excellent verbal and written communication skills? Construction experience is desirable.
