Incumbent must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent plus five years clerical experience or an Associates Degree plus three year clerical experience. In addition, the incumbent must be able to demonstrate experience using word processing and database management software. Incumbent must be able to perform a combination of clerical and administrative duties under direct supervision, using communication skills to confer with employees at all levels within the organization, and performing a large volume of work requiring a high degree of accuracy Job Description : This position is contingent upon award of an aviation repairs contract located in San Antonio, TX. Provides effective and efficient pre-purchasing and administrative support of the purchasing function. A major portion of the position involves checking status and reviewing material and service purchase requisitions (PRs) to be purchased.Review adequacy of information, coordinating with originator or technical specialist to clarify details of the requirement, ensuring all necessary information is included on the PR.Direct working relationship with Vendors to ensure that supplies and equipment are shipped on the specified date.Coordinates with Receiving to ensure deliveries are processed and delivered within specified dates.Research and contacts vendors for quotations for small supply actions.Compiles documentation to establish procurement files. Maintains filing systemPerforms data entry to close out purchase orders.Maintains the distribution system for all correspondence.Maintains a suspense file for documents such as RFQs, subcontracts and modificationsPrepares correspondence to subcontractors/vendors and internal personnel.Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. : : EOE M/F/D/V
