Facilities Engineer - Oil and Gas

Amec Paragon is currently accepting resumes for FACILITIES ENGINEERS for our Houston, TX, location.



Summary
AMEC Paragon is looking for engineers with experience in upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities design including sizing and specifying equipment for offshore platforms, onshore facilities, and compressor stations.

Requirements


• Minimum 8-10 years experience  
• BS in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred)
• familiar with API RP14C

• Ability to interpret PFDs and P&IDs
• experience with separation, dehydration, pumps, compressors, equipment sizing, and line sizing.

• Offshore experience preferred but not required  
 

Responsibilities

Work is project-oriented and an engineer may be working on a number of projects, all at various different stages, at any given time. Clients include national oil companies, major international oil companies, independent producers, and pipeline companies.
Typical work activities will include:
• sizing equipment including separators, pumps, and compressors
• sizing piping
• preparing equipment data sheets
• preparing equipment Request for Quotations including data sheets, scope of work, general specifications
• preparing bid tabulations;
• review vendor data;
•Ability to coordinate with engineers in other disciplines
