At the Charleston, SC facility, Bosch designs and produces precision automotive components and systems sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems and components for gasoline & diesel injection and Anti-lock Braking Systems. We currently have 2200 employees in a team environment and in a three-shift, non-union plant. Facilities are modern and fully air conditioned with state of the art equipment.

Job Description: The Facility Engineer position must possess strong mechanical and/or electrical experience, and project management skills. Understand and apply local, state, and federal safety and building codes to operate the facility. Experience with as many of the following systems is a plus.
Chilled Water Systems – chillers, chill water pumps, valves, controllers and sensors, and distribution piping.
Hot Water Systems – boilers, hot water pumps, valves, controllers and sensors, and distribution piping.
Compressed Air Systems – air intake cooling and filtration, air compressors, air dryers, valves, controllers and sensors.
Air Conditioning Systems – both chilled/hot water air handlers, direct expansion air handlers, fan coil units, heat pumps, and VAV’s along with associated valves, controllers and sensors, and distribution ducting.
Heat Treat Cooling Systems – tube and shell and flat plate heat exchangers, pumps, valves, controllers and sensors, and distribution piping.
Electrical Distribution Systems – high voltage distribution involving 23,900, 4,160, and 480 voltage along with distribution transformers, bus tie switches, load centers, and breakers.
Natural Gas and Diesel Fuel Systems – meters, pumps, controllers and sensors, and distribution.
Planned and Predictive Maintenance – Bosch SAP modules, lube oil analysis and trends, and vibration analysis and trends.
In addition, the successful candidate will possess the ability to communicate well orally and in writing, be computer literate, and work well with others in a team environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have an excellent knowledge of mechanical systems and/or electrical systems (low, medium, & high voltage), and capable of troubleshooting, analyzing causes of failures and assist or make needed repairs.
Must be a degreed engineer (mechanical or electrical preferred).
Must have 5 – 10 years experience as a degreed engineer.
Must have strong project management skills (MS Project or similar)
Must be able to read and interpret all types of drawings, equipment manuals, and safety codes.
Must be able to work the US without sponsorship
