Field Applications Engineer

Field Applications Engineer responsible for development and support of high speed digital test solutions for semiconductor products. This position is typically at the customer site working alone or in conjunction with the customer’s engineering personnel. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, development of turnkey test solutions, conversions of test programs from other test systems, consulting on customer developed solutions, and as an instructor for system training classes. The position requires working closely the sales team in the development and execution of sales strategies including pre-sales technical presentations, competitive benchmarks, and technical differentiation.

Qualifications:

The candidate should have 5+ years in Semiconductor Test, as well as 2+ years in high speed digital test on interfaces such as PCI-E, USB2.0, HyperTransport, SATA, RapidIO, etc. Experience as a Field Applications Engineer is a plus, but not mandatory.



The candidate should be proficient in C++ programming and debug. Experience in Perl programming is also a plus.



The candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills, as this position will require regular interaction with the end customer, typically at the customer site.



It is preferred that the candidate is proficient in development and debug on the Verigy 93000 Test system, however candidates with proficiency on the Teradyne Flex / Ultra Flex, Credence Sapphire, or Advantest T2000 are encouraged to apply.



A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering is a must.
