Description
Fire Investigator - Ft. Lauderdale
Fire Investigator Chief duties consist of determining the origin and cause of fires and explosions, primarily involving structures and vehicular-type equipment. Duties include gathering photographic evidence, conducting investigations to document onsite conditions and overseeing field- testing. This includes scene photography, interviewing witnesses, and evidence/data gathering. Prepare oral and written reports that document causes of fire or explosion incident. Expert testimony. Associates Degree in Fire Science and/or 7+ years of related experience. Experience in fire and explosion investigation and analysis is a MUST. CFI and/or CFEI certifications or be qualified to immediately test for both. Good knowledge of building science and construction techniques.
