GIS Visualization Specialists

The qualified candidate must have:[A] Master of Science degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geography, Computer Science, or Information Management, and 5 years experience using GIS technology, including:* Five (5) years experience with: 3D modeling, Landscape Visualization, and ArcView/Arc GIS; and, * Three (3) years experience with visual resource impact analysis, GIS - specifically related to the Engineering Consulting industry, World Construction Set, Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, PowerPoint; and,* One year (1) of experience with Auto Cad and Microstation.OR[B] Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geography, Computer Science, or Information Management, and 7 years experience using GIS technology, including:* Five (5) years experience with: 3D modeling, Landscape Visualization, and ArcView/Arc GIS; and, * Three (3) years experience with visual resource impact analysis, GIS - specifically related to the Engineering Consulting industry, World Construction Set, Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, PowerPoint; and,* One year (1) of experience with Auto Cad and Microstation. Job Description : The GIS Visualization Specialist will be responsible for marketing the spatial data visualization capabilities of the department to internal and external clients, by producing brochures, posters, website content, and presentations. Responsible for managing projects and providing support for projects requiring Geographic Information Systems (GIS) expertise in the areas of: aquifer and groundwater modeling, riparian setback analysis, containment modeling, hydrologic analysis, coastal modeling, real estate planning and facility management, landscape architecture, photo-simulations, landscape visualization, wetland mitigation site analysis, road corridor improvement studies, wetland monitoring, data organization and standardization, 3D model construction and visualization and watershed management projects.40 hours per week; 9:00am-6:00pm, Mon-Fri.
