We are seeking Field Service Technicians responsible for installation, calibration, service and repair of power control systems utilized on electric drilling rigs. The Field Service Technician applies knowledge and experience to troubleshooting situations. Experience with drilling rigs and power control systems is essential. You must have the ability to work hard without direct supervision, work irregular and sometimes long hours, and a desire to have complete responsibility for one's work. Applicants must be self-starters and highly self motivated.

 

Responsibilities

Complete daily work assignments as scheduled for installation; domestic and international travel to drilling sites. All work being performed by employee must meet quality standards. Confers with customers regarding equipment installations and helps troubleshoot problems that the customer may encounter. Anticipates job requirements and has at had the material and equipment required to commission and repair the electrical power system. Complete service order tickets accurately and timely. Works with Lead Production Person and Maintenance personnel in identifying and correcting equipment problems. Ensures use of safety devices and equipment. Qualifications and Education

Two-year electrical degree or equivalent experience. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Valid State Drivers License; Good Driving Record. Two or more years related experience and/or training in oilfield service industry. Must be able to read and write in English. Excellent verbal and written communications skills (Self initiating/willing to make decisions and communicate and share ideas with others to solve problems). Proven mechanical aptitude. Ability to accurately use measuring devices such as meters and oscilloscopes. Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and prioritize. Safe work history. Good general work record. Excellent attendance reliability (work availability). Able to travel up to 25% of time domestically and internationally.
