The ideal candidate will assist in developing plans, specifications, details, and engineering reports as needed on assigned tasks to see that these items are complete, accurate, and in accordance with good engineering practice. Responsibilities include performing field investigation, detailed design work, design computations, and technical writing. Projects involve the planning and design of water, wastewater, and drainage systems; city and county roadway systems; and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design. Additional responsibilities include: + Develop plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E). + Calculate quantity and cost estimates. + Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. + Has limited client contact at staff level.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Candidate should have a basic understanding in roadway design (horizontal and vertical alignments), cross-section development, water/wastewater/storm sewer system design, working with digital terrain models, and designing traffic control plans. Candidate should have experience with Microstation and/or AutoCAD design software.
