HVAC Systems Lead Engineer

Job Skills:
The Sr. Lead Engineer will manage engineering teams in resolving a wide range of issues related to HVAC&R system design or system components.

Teams may include system development, cost reduction and customer and plant support activities.

Responsible for ensuring that teams are designing and qualifying new or current products to meet efficiency, safety, quality and cost effectiveness goals that support strategic planning requirements.

Requirements:

Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent plus 7 years experience in design, development and testing of refrigeration systems.

Minimum of 5 years experience as a project leader or senior engineer leading new product development at the system level.

MBA a plus.

Active ASHRAE and ARI membership and participation highly desirable.

Experience with refrigeration cycle development and testing. Must know and apply standard industry practices, codes and standards.

Knowledge of equipment controls and system integration, electrical circuitry, heat transfer technology, thermodynamics, refrigeration circuits design, prototype production and testing and HVAC regulatory requirements.

Must be able to assess customer needs and select appropriate solutions for complex HVAC&R applications.

Must be extremely reliable and organized, able to work under pressure and work flexible hours to meet customer deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

10% travel required.
