Specific responsibilities include: Plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance of piping and associated equipment and components Install, repair, and maintain mechanical/electrical operating equipment and machinery Conduct a routine and on-going assessment of the building systems operations Monitor operations of the mechanical/electrical operating equipment Perform preventive maintenance on base building and critical system equipment Report impending supply or material shortages to the Chief/Lead EngineerMonitor operation and maintain refrigeration, water cooling and air conditioning equipment Maintain tools and orders supplies as required for installation and repairs Comply with departmental policy for safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials Maintain a clean and safe work space  Complete work orders for a variety of structure and equipment repairsEstimate time and materials effectivelyOversee and inspect the work of outside contractorsOrder necessary material for repair completionComplete all necessary paperwork upon finalization of work order  REQUIREMENTS:Vocational Associates Degree or related experience in the Field4 -5 years experience in electrical and/or HVAC/refrigeration trade and experience in emergency backup systems (generators, UPS, etc) and critical environments.Must possess proven skill set in the use of common trade and craft tools and machinery.  Skilled in the use of common trade and craft tools and machinery.Knowledge of OSHA standards and City Codes with respect to mechanical/electrical systems Familiarity with Microsoft Office and associated programs.
