Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.CH2M HILL's Facilities Services Group is currently seeking a Health and Safety Manager to direct the development, implementation, and oversight of the Facilities Services H&S program. The H&S Manager will ideally be located in Denver, although we are open to candidates who prefer to be primarily located in either Phoenix or Portland. This position requires approximately 60% travel, some of which may be without notice.The H&S Manager will serve as the key management contact and technical lead for H&S issues; recommend and participate in the development of business unit policies and procedures; routinely assess compliance with policy and H&S requirements; coordinate investigation oversight into H&S issues, e.g., accidents, injuries, near misses, etc.Duties and Responsibilities Provide project delivery services in occupational H&S, industrial hygiene, and occupational risk management support to business unit field projects and programs. Establish clear set of procedures and plans tailored to business unit needs, working in coordination with the CH2M HILL HS&E organization to ensure conformance with overarching company policy Coordinate with Business Manager in determining annual H&S budgets. Establish business unit H&S goals and provide data for reporting performance; Assist in developing field project safety plans, review start-up plans, and monitor execution by conducting audits and assessments of project H&S delivery activities; Participate in proposal development and client presentations to ensure consideration of H&S issues; Participate in subcontractor selection process, including review of subcontractor H&S performance, recommend disqualification of subcontractors and/or identification of compensatory actions necessary to achieve company safety performance goals Continue deployment of business unit training program and content, considering both CH2M HILL training requirements and unique business unit training needs. Oversee accident investigation/event analysis; approve corrective action plans; monitor effectiveness of program improvements and corrective actions; Participate in regular project reviews with project staff, senior management and clients; Assist in injury case management through coordination with, Legal/Insurance Department and HSE&Q staff.   Qualifications10 years experience in H&S leadership at the work interface, work team and management level.
