Description:Eaton Corporation located in Galesburg, MI has an opening for a Hybrid - Lead Engineer.This engineer applies technical knowledge to the development of hybrid powertrain power electronics and battery system and will support both new product and current product engineering programs. Critical Outputs:- Work with control and system engineer to define motor and energy storage system performance and control interface and requirements- Defining performance specifications for power electronics, traction motors and energy storage systems- Defining design validation requirements for power electronics, traction motors and energy storage systems- Defining, developing and performing characterization testing for power electronics, traction motors and energy storage systemsEssential Functions:- Leads issue resolution on power electronics, traction motors and energy storage systems using standard process (8D etc.)- Works with hybrid business unit engineers, OEMs, end users and service personnel to understand customer want and needs and how to adapt the designs to meet them- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of technical developments and innovations in areas of responsibilities- Identifies potential IP related to area of responsibility and files appropriate disclosuresIf interested, please apply online at www.eatonjobs.com indicating salary requirements/history.
