Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.Our Boise, ID office has an opening for a project technologist with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling and master planning expertise to support projects throughout the North western United States.The ideal candidate will have experience in:• Consulting for medium and large wastewater and water utilities.• Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of sewer systems.• Hydraulic and water quality modeling of water distribution systems.• Optimization.• Modeling in a number of different environments.• Modeling software experience with programs such as H2O Map, InfoWater, WaterGems, WaterCAD, H2ONET, PIPE2000, EPANET, MOUSE, XP-SWMM, HEC-RAS, and QUAL2E.• GIS integration in ArcView, MapInfo, IDRISI, and Atlas GIS software experience.This person will direct project teams, develop and mentor junior staff, and provide project technical guidance and quality control. He/she will be expected to contribute to strategic planning and business development activities.Prospective candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as team-oriented work practices and the ability to network and meet with professionals in our offices throughout the region. You will be asked to coordinate with regulators and clients. Solid data analysis, technical problem solving, organizational skills, and client service experience are also required. The selected candidate will also prepare reports and plans, specifications and estimates, and be responsible for budgets and scope for assigned tasks, and management of project teams.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in water resources is required. The selected candidate must have a P.E. in the state of Idaho, or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.Preferred Qualifications: Interested candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; a Masters degree is preferred. At least 5 to 10 years of professional experience in the water resources industry is preferred. Additional requirements include excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis & technical problem solving, organizational skills, multitasking ability and excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite). A candidate with the ability to work with limited supervision and lead others in performing work is desired.
