Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.CH2M HILL's growing Baton Rouge, LA office is seeking a Hydrogeologist for assistance with environmental cleanup projects for private and government clients.  We are targeting a May 2008 start date for this position.The Hydrogeologist will be involved with site investigations (monitoring well installation, design and construction, soil and groundwater sampling, etc.); CERCLA/RCRA process; remedial investigations; groundwater remediation methods; and technical writing. Position is expected to contribute to client relationships, business development and repeat business opportunities. Position requires a BS degree in Geology or Hydrogeology (MS preferred). Candidate must have experience in the use of Microsoft E-mail, Excel and Word; ability to do field work; ability to travel 50 percent of the time; have strong technical writing and oral communication skills; and possess the ability to work in a team environment and provide some technical guidance. CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H-1B visa, etc.) to fill this position.QualificationsQualified candidates will have the following:• BS degree in Geology or Hydrogeology.• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.In addition to the basic qualifications, preferred candidates will have the following:" MS degree in Hydrogeology from a US accredited university or college is desired."
