This is a mid-junior-level position which will be responsible for completing technical tasks associated with site management projects. These tasks will include a mixture of field work, data evaluation, and report writing responsibilities. Typical field work tasks include, but are not limited to: leading field staff and subcontractors on such activities as installation of monitoring wells, sampling various media (groundwater, soil, surface water, etc.), logging soil borings, completing field paperwork and documenting activities on site, directing subcontractors (drillers, sub-consultants, etc.). Typical office tasks include, but are not limited to: putting together specifications for well installation, data analysis, interpretation, and manipulation, report writing and coordination of logistics for field efforts. Tasks will be performed under the guidance of a senior hydrogeologist. This position will consist of approximately 40-60% field work. . QualificationsQualified candidates will have a BS degree in geology/hydrogeology. Candidate must also have a least three years of experience in the field. Strong writing skills, oral communication skills and effective listening skills are a must. Preferred candidates will have their BS and MS degree in geology/hydrogeology with at least 3 years of experience in the field with an environmental consulting firm. Candidates should be able to log soils, install borings/monitoring wells, write reports on field efforts, interpret field data, and develop conceptual site models. Candidates should possess the attributes to become a strong consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self starter that takes initiative and has a service mentality).
