I&C Consultant/Group Lead

Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.Instrumentation & Controls Group Lead.• Execute large EPC (Engineer-Procure-Construct) projects (upto $200MM EPC requiring upto 30,000 man-hours).• Coordinate with construction, purchase and expedite the instrumentation & controls equipment, and manage clients and remote offices.• Responsible for new business efforts including preparation of effort hours estimates for design & engineering, and I&C capital cost estimate associated with I&C equipment pricing.• Responsible for project budget, schedule and quality of all deliverables.• Develop front end design participating heavily in concept design and preliminary engineering phases. Facilitate discussions with clients related to development of controls & automation philosophy, vendors’ selection criteria, and compile preferred vendor list. Prepare I&C basis of design.• Coordinate details and design criteria with process, piping, mechanical and electrical disciplines.• Lead I&C design of a given project and quality check deliverables including development of P&IDs and controls philosophy, evaluation of suitable instrument measurement & controls technology, preparation of instrument index, development of instrument specification, calculations & sizing, preparation of instrument data sheets, and instrument drawings including location drawings and installation details and co-ordinating instrument 3-D Design and isometric QA checks.• Oversee the design of process control system specification, hardware design & specification, and software development efforts in alignment of client’s requirements.• Oversee the development of control system design drawings including control panel design, schematics, and loop wiring diagrams.• Supervise systems start-up activities including commissioning and client site acceptance testing.• Conduct vendor shop drawings review and bid analysis.• Support construction manager in post contract activities; RFI, and punch list, and assist with start-up and commissioning activities.• Support Department Manager and Project Manager with project delivery.• Mentor project team and align to meet project goals.• Excellent leadership skills, organization, coaching and team management skills.• Excellent presentation, communication and technical writing skills.Qualifications• Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering Degree from a four year college (Bachelors in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology would be acceptable).8+ years of experienceBenefits: Medical and Dental Plans Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Short Term and Long Term Disability Income 401(k) Plan with company match Employee Ownership Paid Time Off Program Flexible Work Scheduling Business Casual Dress Learning and Development Opportunities Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program Voluntary Auto and Homeowners InsuranceCompany Profile:Employee-owned CH2M HILL is a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction and operations for public and private clients.
