IT NETWORK MANAGER (NG)

IT NETWORK MANAGER     SUMMARY: Supervise Information Technology department in the support and maintenance of IT Infrastructure within the program. Responsibilities include working in a team environment to support user questions and needs, troubleshoot problems on Windows, desktops, and servers. Interface with company, project and client IT groups to ensure consistency with corporate policy.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   Perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting of WAN, email (Microsoft Exchange), Active Directory and other enterprise networking technologies.   Support LAN, Windows 2000/2003 servers, Windows client OS, users, software and hardware.   Manage Program team; make purchases within budget constraints; approve invoices.   Repair and maintain company-owned computer equipment.   Support issues, routine tasks, short and long term projects, and asset control.   After hours work is required   QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: BA/BS degree in related discipline and at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required. Software knowledge must include Windows OS and Microsoft Office suites. Understanding of networking is essential. Strong organization skills and attention to detail are also necessary.   LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and customers of the organization.   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.   REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
