IT/Operations Support Specialist

IT/OPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST, MIT Federal Credit Union, to run in-house computer system under direction of IT/security manager. Will perform various daily and monthly operations, e.g., end-of-day, daily ACH, end-of-period processing, fee processing, payroll, data backups, importing/exporting files, IRS/DOR, OFAC, and credit reporting; write and create reports using Crystal Reports; provide web site and Internet banking/bill payer; support and troubleshoot Windows network, PCs (hardware/software), and office equipment; maintain and update PC security patches/virus protection; resolve hardware and software problems; order IT supplies; implement, monitor, and correct procedures; and implement all plans, priorities, and initiatives within scope of accountability.

REQUIREMENTS: one to two years' IT experience, excellent customer service skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must have experience with financial services' data processing systems; Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003; Windows XP desktop deployment and support; Microsoft Office, Exchange, and Outlook; Crystal Reports; database applications, including SQL Server and Microsoft Access; and TCP/IP network management, isolation, routing, DNS and general LAN/WAN administration. Knowledge of backup methodology including backup applications required. Experience with the administration of Active Directory group policies and procedures and Intrusion detection systems needed; as is experience with managing/securing switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless management systems. External/internal web application development experience required. UNIX and Linux server management experience helpful. Should have experience troubleshooting and maintaining PCs in a Windows environment. Familiarity with IBM AIX operating system helpful. Bachelor's degree and experience in a financial institution preferred. Ability to communicate information, ideas, and concepts completely and concisely in both written and verbal formats expected.
