Engineered Production Equipment (EPE) is an established, 25-year old company that supplies custom-designed manufacturing equipment to the consumer and pharmaceutical industries.  Our areas of expertise include web handling, rotary and intermittent web converting, transdermal patch fabrication equipment, pouching equipment, and medical device assembly.  Our equipment has been installed in many diverse locations from local, Omaha plants to international plants in Asia, Europe, South America, and Canada.

 

Job Functions/ResponsibilitiesPrepare designs for equipment and/or subsystems based upon written specifications, sketches, and /or verbal instructions from supervisors or customers.Analyze designs with respect to equipment specifications, general machine design practices, and EPE shop practices and methods.Research, select, and specify proper part materials, commercial components, and ancillary equipment.Communicate designs with 3D CAD models, ProEngineer experience preferred, assembly drawings, and part detail drawings, with logical ordering of features and constraints and proper tolerance of detail prints for the shop.Written documentation of the design and supporting calculations using Word, Excel, or other design calculation software.Coordinate your design work with other EPE machine and controls engineers working on other aspect of the machine design.Assist machinists with issues that occur during the fabrication, assembly, and debug of the machine.Knowledge of pneumatic schematics and equipment a plus.

 

QualificationsBS Mechanical Engineering (work experience will be considered in lieu of education)Experience in machine design and/or with production machinery is preferred.Experience with 3D modeling required, ProEngineer experience is preferred.Experience with 2D and/or 3D AutoCad is a plus.Good oral and written communication and documentation skills are required.
