We are currently seeking an Outside Sales person in our Industrial Sales Division within Lenexa, Kansas. This position is responsible for developing, growing and maintaining customer relationships.  This individual will need to be able to work autonomously and be a self starter. 

Required skills:Knowledge of Industrial Sales highly desirable 2-4 years previous experience in Automation Controls sales preferred.  We will also consider prior experience with technology sales and large equipment sales. Must be able to handle a variety of customer interactions professionally Excellent communication skills, self-directed follow-up and a desire to succeed are required Must be able to show a proven history of commitment to outstanding sales and customer service Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma required. Knowledge/aptitude with personal computers 

This role will:

Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors

Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature

Submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.

Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The position will pay a base salary plus commission.  Our company will provide a laptop and pay for the internet connectivity in your home.  We also provide a cell phone and car allowance.
