Our design efforts challenge the norm of boxy design, because there isn't a lot of room for challenging the status quo in Industrial projects. We must choose our design battles and work them as a team. A candidate would be required to balance the politics of quality well thought out designs with the budgets and particular clients focused on the bottom line. This is our unique challenge to bring real Architecture to industrial design with fervor. We are growing our department to support new workload and need production support. The candidate will contribute needed project support and enhance our team approach with an additional perspective. They will take on smaller projects to assist in our overall production efforts. We value their ideas. Projects will consist of small to medium projects in Industrial, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas support facilities. Up to 20% domestic travel may required. Detailed Responsibilities:* Establish the factual parameters of the design work (e.g., code, site restrictions, budget and schedule restraints, etc.)* Identify building systems options and related performance and cost criteria* Assist in the presentation of design documents. * Assist the Project Manager in adhering to the project schedule and budget and in identifying changes to the scope of the work, related repercussions on project schedule and budget. * Advise the Department Manager of changes in the project workload. * Facilitate the timely exchange of information between all project team membersQualificationsBasic Qualifications:* BS/BA Architecture (5 year or 4-2 license)* 0-2 years of architectural design experience* Coursework, design project or work experience with AutoCAD version 2005 or newer is required* Started IDP* Ability to configure the components of a wall sections from a client’s programmatic requirements without direct supervision* Ability to estimate the time and requirements necessary to complete a project based on sheet count, task list and by construction costPreferred Qualifications:* Exposure or experience with Revit 3D is a plus but not required and training is offered* Member and actively involved with AIA or AIAS* At least one design award or recognition* Demonstrated member of the community* Exposure to sustainable design (LEED) is a plusBenefits: Medical and Dental Plans Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Short Term and Long Term Disability Income 401(k) Plan with company match Employee Ownership Paid Time Off Program Flexible Work Scheduling Business Casual Dress Learning and Development Opportunities Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program Voluntary Auto and Homeowners InsuranceCompany Profile:Employee-owned CH2M HILL is a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction and operations for public and private clients.
