LEAD ESTIMATOR

PB is currently engaged as the Consultant Construction Manager to the New York City Transit Authority for Phase 1 of the Second Avenue Subway Project. This is a long term project that involves: Constructing twin tunnels between 96th Street to the existing station at 63rd Street and a second one from 96th Street to 72nd Street, a connector tunnel will extend the second tunnel from 72nd Street to 63rd Street; three new stations and the rehabilitation of the 63rd Street Station. The scope of our work includes resident engineering and inspection services, design / constructability reviews, contract management and administration, project controls and utility coordination. We are now seeking an experienced Construction Estimator.

Applicants must have a BS Degree and 10 – 15 years in construction cost estimating. Prior field experience is also required; in civil infrastructure projects and utilities The successful candidate will be able to develop estimates from conceptual levels through final design. Prior industrial experience should encompass either (or both) railroad and transit projects. Applicants must possess excellent computer skills and be knowledgeable of current industry estimating software. In addition, individuals should be able to produce estimates ranging from Order-of-Magnitude level to detailed construction level estimates.
