Landscape Architect

This position is located in Atlanta, GA.  It is the Group Leader/Department Manager position for a Civil Engineering firm with a Landscape Architecture department.

Job Description

Our client's Landscape Architects and Land Planners are expected to prepare site layout and design, grading, drainage and planting plans. Additionally, experience is required in streetscape and urban design, bike and pedestrian trails, municipal and state projects.

The Landscape Architect Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Landscape Architecture group, including staff supervision, marketing and business development, and project administration. 

Job Requirements

Potential candidates should have Project Management experience in the design of construction documents with strong AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop computer design experience.  Candidate should also be capable of producing hand drawn sketches and renderings. 

Departmental Management experience is a plus, however, we will look closely to a strong Project Manager with experience in the Georgia climate and zone planting area.

Role Within The Company

Our landscape architecture services balance aesthetic and utilitarian space design. A dedicated landscape architect Group Leader manages hands-on site design, permitting, marketing and keeping projects on schedule and within budget. Also, design and estimate costs for tree protection and planting strategy, hardscape and irrigation, exterior lighting and water features.

Through coordinated efforts, our landscape architects and civil engineers promote harmonious and effective land development.
