Qualifications: The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge/experience of the transportation project development process; civil engineering, traffic engineering; project management; and state and federal environmental regulations/procedures including National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA).  Demonstrated experience in the management of complex transportation location studies and/or the management of Environmental Impact Statements.  Ability to speak in front of elected officials, agency heads, and appointed officials; manage complex transportation projects; develop and manage project schedules and budgets; analyze and interpret data; communicate effectively orally and in writing.  Skills in negotiation and management.  Prefer degree in transportation engineering; environmental field; public administration; or environmental management/engineering.
