MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

K & M Machine-Fabricating, Inc. a leader in the heavy metal fabrication and machining industry, is continuing to grow and expand its market share.  This continuing growth has lead to the need to increase our professional staff by creating an additional position for a MANUFACTURING ENGINEER.  Located in Southwestern Michigan, K & M provides fabrication, machining and sub assembly services for the heavy construction equipment, off-road equipment, mining, agriculture, diesel locomotive and wind power energy industries.

This high profile MANUFACTURING ENGINEER position is responsible for preparing and estimating machine cycle times and costs, programming CNC milling and boring machines, developing manufacturing methods, selecting tooling for efficient manufacturing, designing and building machine fixturing, preparing detailed manufacturing instructions and documents and assisting in the training and development of CNC machine operators.

Candidate qualifications include a four year degree in a related engineering discipline and at least three years of related industry related engineering experience in an IS or QS environment.  Candidates must also have a demonstrated record of strong CNC programming and tooling knowledge, fixture design experience as well as outstanding communications, math and computer skills.A working knowledge of ProE or Auto CAD is essential.
