MECHANICAL ENGINEER

A world leader in manufacturing offshore drilling equipment is adding to its professional engineering staff.  The position has many opportunities for growth.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. B.S.M.E.
2. 3 plus years experience in heavy machine design and weldments.
3. Demonstrated capability in stress analysis.
4. Experience using Autocad, Mathcad, and Microsoft Office.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Capable of reviewing vendor offerings to choose the right devices to incorporate into designs.

DUTIES:
1. Machine design using either AutoCad or Inventor, making layouts of designs to hand to designer for detailing.
2. Complete stress analysis to meet design standards and material choices using Mathcad.
3. Create Engineering Specifications as needed.
4. Trouble shoot manufacturing issues and dsposition non-conforming parts.
5. Assist with commissioning and start-up on offshore installations if required.
