MEMS Advanced R&D Director

The Micro machined Products Division at Analog Devices Inc. currently has a MEMS Advanced R&D Director reporting to the Division General Manager. The primary responsibility will be to manage and develop MPD’s technology strategy towards the goal of sustained long-term competitive advantage. Specific job tasks include:

·  Lead the identification and development of new inertial and non-inertial product categories that will profitably expand the division’s revenue at target gross margins.

·  Develop the technology plans and supporting business plans including partnerships to develop and/or access strategic new IP

·  Collaborate with product line leaders to align next generation technology and products with business strategy

·  Partner with World Wide Manufacturing MEMS fab staff and process development groups, assembly and packaging groups to develop new processes to support the division’s needs

·  Champion the MEMS IP strategy within the ADI MEMS community

·  Maintain and build effective relationships with universities and other research institutions.

 

Job Requirements:

·  Advanced degree in science or engineering (PhD preferred) with a minimum of 10 years of MEMS semiconductor management experience.

·  Demonstrated ability to build teams and consensus as well as develop strong internal and external relationships.

·  Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and management skills.

·  High energy and motivation level required to lead technology development and support a fast growing business.

·  Ability to travel as necessary.
