The relocation of our facility into a customized laboratory in Santa Fe Springs, CA allowed a significant expansion of its primary capabilities. Investment in 'state-of-the-art' testing and preparation equipment has broadened the laboratory’s chemical, tensile (room and elevated temperature), creep, stress rupture and fracture capabilities.  This laboratory serves as a premier source for the west coast markets providing 24-48 hour turn around time on all testing and analyses.  Independent and proprietary approvals ensure a high level of quality assurance on all work undertaken. With a dedicated LIMS system, the laboratory has the facility to produce reports and certifications in an accurate efficient manner.  Staffed by highly qualified and experienced personnel, the laboratory provides exceptional customer service to a wide and diverse range of industries including aerospace, power generation, automotive, and oil & gas.

 

Bodycote's Santa Fe Springs, CA (Alburtis Lab) location is currently seeking a Machinist.

 

This position reports to the Manager of the Machine Shop.

Duties and Responsibilities:Preparation of test specimens for mechanical testing following standard operating procedures.Set-up, operation, and maintenance of: CNC lathe, milling machine, conventional lathe machine, drill press, grinders, and belt sanders.Maintain clean and safe work environment.Ability to work second shift.

 

Education and Qualifications:

 

· Completion of High School Diploma.

· Good communication skills.

· 2 – 5 years work experience as a Machinist using CNC lathes and CNC mills.

· Basic CNC computer operation.

· CNC set-up, programming, program editing.
