Maintenance Electronics Technician
The successful candidate will have a minimum of (3) three years of full time verifiable related work experience. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of electronic principles and thorough knowledge and understanding of the design, construction, function and end use of a variety of complex custom built precision measurement equipment used in various testing activities. Must be familiar with programmed logic, integrated and interface circuits, assemblies and components, etc. Must be able to prepare detailed diagrams and schematics and apply electronic theory to make various calculations. Must be able t repair, calibrate, and troubleshoot integrated systems such as PLC and CNC milling machines and laser lathes. Must have a working knowledge of Micro Process Equipment which is a miniature computer. Job Description : Perform installation, modification, overhaul troubleshooting, calibration, aligning and maintenance of complete electronic test equipment which is an integral part of the analysis, alignment and performance evaluation of complex integrated electronic systems and their support systems. Many of these systems consist of manufacturer's prototypes which are comprised of subsystems, launching control units, light sensing devices, etc., that are linked together and interrelated so that their combined functions accomplish a specific objective i.e. guidance, launching control etc. The test equipment utilizes data generated by the systems themselves and produces a loop of feedback information which is used by the test equipment to evaluate the performance system itself. This feedback loop involves the use of sensor devices involving electronics, optical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications, makes functional tests, interpreting and applying a broad range of technical data such as schematics, Manufacturer specifications, engineering drawings, etc. Perform evaluation of operational characteristics of the integrated system by observing and analyzing wave forms, voltage/current/power indications, computer registers or printouts, optical presentations and instrument readings. Analyzes malfunctions encountered and devise repair procedures and performs the repairs. Operates all of the commercial test equipment associated with these systems, such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, frequency response analyzers, function generators and frequency counters. Performs complete maintenance for a completely automated storage and retrieval system which is a computer directed electro-mechanical system used in material handling and storage. Performs maintenance for a wide variety of electronic controlled industrial equipment, many of which are semi-automatic or completely automatic.2. Operates motor vehicle up to and including 5 ton as well as forklift truck capable of lifting up to 15,000 lbs. Performs other duties as assigned.hjlsi06 : : EOE M/F/D/V
