 Responsibilities:

Warner Power is searching for a Manager Mechanical Design Engineering. This is a new position that would be a career path for an Electrical Engineer with demonstrable project management and team leadership experience. This would be the first step on the management ladder.


Key functions will be to manage all aspects of a busy engineering department, particularly relative to scheduling, drawing approvals and releases, meeting deadlines and providing effective support to manufacturing. Equally important will be the implementation of DFMA to improve designs and reduce costs.

 

The position reports to the Director of Engineering and is a member of the Leadership Team.


 Qualifications:Minimum qualifications are a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience with magnetics (transformers and inductors) and/or power systems would be a significant advantage. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience with evidence of successful supervisory roles as a team leader or project leader, in a fast moving, multi-tasking "job shop" environment, as well as longer-running programs. The candidate must have excellent computer skills in an engineering/manufacturing environment. A proactive 'self-starter' profile is sought, with a disciplined metrics-driven approach and good interpersonal skills.
