Manager Mission Assurance

ATK Integrated Systems Divisions is a leading developer of Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems, Special Mission Aircraft (SMA) solutions and services and specialized sensor and weapon technology. The Job - Under the direction of the V.P. of Business Operations, leads, develops, executes and performs division level Mission Assurance strategies and execution. - Will lead the integration of a multi-site, matrix and teaming organization through the implementation of division wide MA policies and procedures. - Provides subject matter expertise, in partnership with the management team, to develop and execute business objectives, policies and strategies. - Provides continuous refinement of quality philosophies, applications and procedures, thereby exceeding customer standards and creating a competitive company advantage. - Responsible for Mission Assurance integrity throughout a program’s life cycle, to include sub-contract management, supplier capability and quality and the implementation of program processes which will enhance risk management efforts. - Will directly manage Mission Assurance staff at our Woodland Hills, CA facility. The Ability - Have a broad technical capability in the development, integration and delivery of complex systems and technologies. - Possess excellent communication skills and effective interface with Mission Assurance / QA representatives, suppliers, customers, auditing agencies and both technical and non-technical personnel. - Have demonstrated experience developing meaningful performance metrics, trend analysis and solution delivery. - Ability to provide effective evaluation of failures, to include root cause analysis, corrective action delivery and preventative measure implementation. - Be a strategic capability in the identification of technical needs and solutions coupled with a strong program execution focus. The Background and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline. - Ten (10) years experience in directly related Mission Assurance positions within the DoD engineering industry. - Working knowledge of Earned Value Management systems (EVMS). - Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred). - Experience in the development and implementation of MA /QA processes in a multi-site / multi-functional environment. - Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
