Manager, Plant Engineering

Chanel, Inc., a leader in the luxury goods industry, seeks a F/T Plant Engineer Manager in our Piscataway, NJ location.

Functional responsibilities include:

· Manage all facility maintenance

· Oversee all environment and energy conservation programs ensuring compliance with EPA and NJDEP regulations (air emissions, solid waste disposal, hazardous waste disposal, recycling programs, underground storage tanks, storm water pollution prevention, waste water discharge)

· Maintain environmental compliance records and meet all reporting requirements for environmental regulations and permits

· Manage plant and office engineering projects and provide engineering for capital projectsSupervise union building mechanics and electronic technician in the daily operation and upkeep of the Piscataway facilityDirect the preventive and corrective maintenance of the facility equipment Maintain facility cleanliness through supervision of union custodians and administration of the cleaning service contract.

The requirements of the position are:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline

Minimum of 5 years of industry experience to include maintenance supervision and project management. Experience in environmental compliance preferred.

Must have broad understanding of all aspects of facilities.  Clear understanding of the regulatory framework of government (DPA, NJDEP, OSHA, FDA).  Thorough knowledge of building mechanical and electrical distribution systems.
