HNTB?s talented and dedicated professionals provide design and planning expertise that exceeds expectations.  We are seeking candidates for a Manager of a Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) position in Central Florida. Job Summary: The RTMC Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of a RTMC in the Central Florida area. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to ensure that the RTMC operations are conducted in accordance with the RTMC Policies and Procedures as well as FDOT Policies.  The RTMC Manager is responsible for the overall operations and functionality of the RTMC. Job Responsibilities: Directs the daily operations activities of the RTMC in accordance with the Policies and Procedures Ensure that the goals and strategies of the RTMC operations are followed Conducts the day-to-day management of the RTMC staff and resources including problem resolution concerning RTMC operations. Participates in periodic Traffic Incident Management (TIM) meetings and Critical Incident Reviews as well as attending meetings as directed by FDOT to ensure appropriate interagency coordination. Prepares monthly reports of personnel performance measures Identifies measures of effectiveness for the RTMC Develop and maintain the Policies and Procedures Manual as well as the RTMC Training Manual Responsible for training of the operators as well as documenting the operators certification processQualificationsJob Requirements: Minimum of 4 years supervisory/management experience in a facility similar to the RTMC and a Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field, or a minimum of 8 years of years supervisory/management experience in a facility similar to the RTMC· Demonstrated knowledge of Intelligence Transportation Systems (ITS) and traffic engineering principles· Demonstrated ability to coordinate real-time activities and priorities· Ability to write policies/procedures, correspondence, manuals, and reports· Experienced managerial and leadership skills· Willingness to work alternate schedules and be on call 24/7/365 daysWe take an organized approach to nurturing and developing your career.
