Our client is a growing manufacturing company located in the eastern suburbs of Buffalo, NY.  We are assisting them in finding a strong candidate to take a key leadership role as the Manager of Engineering. 

 

This is an outstanding personal and professional opportunity that will have more than usual autonomy in all aspects of the position including customer interaction, product estimating and design and strategic leadership.  We are seeking candidates that have the potential and desire to grow their careers in this role as well as being in a position to move up.  A fresh perspective with ideas on achieving results will be encouraged and supported. 

 

The ideal candidate will posses a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and/or equivalent experience and bring strong leadership/management skills along with a customer-focused approach.  You’ll need CAD/CAM software (Solidworks and AutoCAD preferred) along with a CNC programming background with product design knowledge.  Strong customer relations, organizational and estimating skills required. Experience in a sheet metal environment is ideal and design/drawing is an added plus. 

 

Competitive base salary and bonus program will push the compensation level to the $80k+ range and will be supported by a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life, 401(k) and more.
