Manager of Engineering Construction and Inspection

A mid-sized, multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Dulles, Virginia is currently searching for a Manager of Engineering Construction and Inspection Services. The firm is in search of an individual with a background in construction management preferably within a civil engineering environment. The individual qualified for the position will be responsible for the strategic planning, marketing, organizing, staffing, training, and managing of the operational and financial aspects of the division.



The most qualified candidate will be able to mentor and maintain all employed by their department while participating in business development, the growth of the company, and maintaining strong profitability within their department.  QA/QC is extremely important in order for the qualified candidate to be successful within our firm.

 

The position requires that you supervise the work of junior inspectors and staff engineers.  Strong communication and organizational skills are required in order to perform construction management support services as assigned.

 

We are interested in only speaking with individuals who have a true Construction Management background in Inspection.  A minimum of ten years of experience is required. While a solid background in management is attractive, please do not apply or send resumes if that is all that you have to offer.  We are looking for a true Manager of Engineering Construction and Inspection Services who can provide technical guidance to engineering staff.

 

A Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is a minimum requirement for this position.  The most qualified candidate will have PE or other professional/technical certification and registration. 

 

Must have current VDOT Certifications in: Soil and Aggregate Field Compaction, Asphalt Field, Hydraulic Cement Concrete Field, Pavement Marking, and Flagger Certification.
