The Global Electronics Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for working with new and existing suppliers to ensure adequate manufacturing controls to drive the quality and reliability of components and modules, through the use of specification of requirements, technical assessments, improvement plans, and corrective actions. In this position, the successful candidate will lead electronics supplier quality engineers who are resident in each of our corporate regions throughout the world. Responsibilities: 

Development and global standardization of supplier quality engineering processes. Coordination of supplier quality management with the procurement organization. Supplier change management including component, tier 2 suppliers, and process changes. New supplier approval through on-site assessments and product analysis. Supplier development through periodic reviews, on-site assessments, and continuous improvement plans. Supplier corrective action tracking, review, and approval. Supplier problem solving meetings, on-site visits, and technical reviews. Approval of supplier product and process validations. Review of supplier AQP (Advanced Quality Planning) activities. Supplier product launch reviews to support our product launches. Requirements: 

10+ years experience working in Supplier Quality Engineering. 5+ years experience in engineering management. B.S. in electrical engineering, advanced degree highly desired. Automotive and/or industrial electronics supplier quality engineering experience. Electronic assembly manufacturing experience. Semiconductor (ICs and discretes) fabrication and assembly experience preferred. Passive electronics manufacturing experience preferred. Six Sigma training / certification highly desired. Superior influencing and communication skills needed to build credibility and trust in inter- and intra-regional relationships. Ability to manage/lead and work effectively in a complex, global organization and maintain a standard of world class process excellence. Outstanding people skills, with the specific ability to interact as a lead player. Strong analytical problem solving skills. Strong decision making skills. Exceptional multi-tasking ability.
