Manufacturing Engineer, IISimi Valley, CAJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:· Primary responsibility is to provide engineering support to SUAV manufacturing by acting as an engineering interface for NPI (New Product Introduction) and production support activities.· Ensure new products are developed with emphasis on manufacturability and producibility (DFM/DFT).· Ensure new products are developed and transitioned in accordance with current company practices and procedures.· Follow new products into Production and provide support.· Work with design engineers to transition new products into assemblies, which can effectively be built with minimum variation by assembly personnel.· Work with assembly, test, and engineering personnel to ensure that the documentation accurately reflects the “as built” condition.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:· Degree and a minimum of 6 years manufacturing engineering experience working in a similar production environment.· Familiarity with electromechanical manufacturing is required. · Specific experience with sheet metal fabrication, plastics, composites and printed circuit board manufacture is required. · Knowledge of computerized MRP systems, an understanding of inventory control methods and production control techniques will also be useful.· Organization/planning, communication (oral and written), time management, conflict management, ability to manage stress, deadlines and work independently.This position requires you have access to data and technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
