We are seeking a manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for:
the design, implementation, troubleshooting of forming and forging tooling and processes. ensuring that manufacturing processes are properly designed, developed, documented, trained to and followed. working with Manufacturing Operations Manager and Supervisors to trouble shoot manufacturing processes and flow for more efficient use of resources spearheading and managing corrective actions which result from Non-conforming Material Reports within assigned manufacturing line(s). designing and implementing tooling changes to eliminate quality issues.

 

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related science and 3+ years experience in a product manufacturing environment is required.  We do have a preference for experience in an ISO type environment

Alternative to Education qualification: A high school diploma, advanced technical training, and 5+ years work experience in a metal manufacturing environment carrying out the "Position Summary" duties using the skills outlined below can substitute for Engineering degree.  Must also have:
 proven ability to develop solution proposals to realize continuous production improvements- This includes: Scrap reduction, SMED, Lean Manufacturing, etc. Strong solid modeling skills (NX or Solid Works) with experience in mold or tooling design. Experience with forming, forging (hot and cold), stamping and press operations. Knowledge of machining, metal fabrication, fit of machined parts, assembly techniques, mechanical drawings, part tolerances, part inspection, problem analysis, word processing, and spreadsheets are required. Knowledge and practical experience with ISO 9001 requirements, OSHA guidelines. Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Control), SPC (statistical process control) and maintenance are helpful.
