Job Description:
Set up manufacturing lines. Do time and motion Studies to determine best solutions and improvements.Do G D & T Studies and determine best most cost effective manufacturing processes.  Make recommendations on equipment used in Manufacturing.  Work on machining/welding fixturing and tooling.

This plant in IA is getting the entire production line for a new Backhoe that is currently produced in Europe.  In addition a new Front End Loader is also coming on line concurrently.  The manufacturing group at this location is being tasked with several huge projects that will require many resources.These projects will last for several years and require many fazes ranging form material flow studies, time and motion, etc. and concept work.  Specking manufacturing machines of all types, including CNC machine centers, automated welders and laser plate cutters will be an important part. Tooling and fixturing design will be required for new machines as well as existing equipment.  Most projects will be handled by small 3-4 person teams.  Some travel may be required in the first 3-4 months of the project.  A single team may be required to go to Canada and Europe for a few weeks.  The customer would cover all T & L. Other than that, no travel of any significance will be required.  The work will require Engineers who are strong self starters with a can-do attitudes and able to manage their time well. The ability to work in a group and get along well with different personalities is of high importance.  Requirements:
( Must have )

BSME or BSTech Degree in or related to manufacturing engineering or Industrial Engineering. 
1+ year of practical Manufacturing Engineering experience in the metal fabrication, machining and welding type environment. 
Must have GD & T knowledge and experience with tolerance stack ups.
Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes and tolerances associated with them.
Must have good communication skills and work well in a team or group.  Must be strong on Excel and all MS Office products.

Experience in Lean Manufacturing, and 6 Sigma.
5+ years Manufacturing engineering experience in heavy equipment.
Laser metal cutting machines experience.
Assembly station design as related to large/heavy equipment.
