Eastman Kodak is seeking a Materials & Process Engineer to join our GRAPHIC COMMUNICATIONS GROUP division in Dayton, OH. Position Description: An engineering position focused on the adhesive joining and coating processes utilized in manufacturing continuous ink-jet printheads. This position will be key to improving the robustness of our current manufacturing processes as well as improving the design and fabrication processes of future printheads. This position will also focus on the characterization and control of the raw materials and application methods as well as the functional performance of the adhesive bonds and coatings. The engineer will coordinate activities involving operators, design engineers, mechanical designers, manufacturing engineers, and technicians necessary for printhead manufacture and development. The engineer will have daily process responsibilities and challenging, highly technical, projects involving capacity, yields, and automation. QUALIFICATIONS: Prioritized Skill Requirements: Experience working with project groups and as an individual contributor. Knowledge of polymeric materials including adhesives and coatings. Knowledge of polymeric materials test methods, specification standards, and testing/manufacturing equipment. Experience with design of experiments (DOE). Knowledgeable in using spreadsheets and databases, including querying and data analysis. Good written and verbal communication skills, including operator work instructions and results documentation. Familiarity with standard drafting practices and symbols (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience with small mechanical tolerances and associated measurement techniques for inspection of these dimensions.
