Marketing Coordinator - Austin, Texas

Job Responsibilities

Works on the planning and implementation of projects that support the marketing function. Interacts directly with company leaders to identify new marketing opportunities, prepares regular marketing activity reports and responds to requests. Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion. May identify, evaluate and recommend marketing opportunities consistent with company objectives. Supports public relations through researching, writing and editing press releases. Responsibilities may also include proposals and presentations, media / community relations, coordinating trade show activities, website development, and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.

Having wide-ranging experience uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

 

 

Preferred Experience

Bachelor’s degree required. Must have thorough knowledge of accepted marketing principles with the ability to assess needs, design, and implement a successful marketing / public relations program. Outstanding communication and organizational skills, creativity and a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at once and to meet deadlines.

 

Excellent writing, graphic design and desktop publishing skills Ideal candidate will have some graphic design/desktop publishing experience. A demonstrated knowledge of Adobe InDesign is required and knowledge in other industry standard programs (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat) is a plus. Must have ability to update web pages (basic knowledge of HTML or DreamWeaver). Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

 

Must have excellent writing and proofreading skills.
