Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.CH2M HILL is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm as a Materials Coordinator in the Greenwood Village, CO office.  This position provides support to the project team in managing all requirements at all times in order to fully support their needs.  The Materials Coordinator manages the full spectrum of requisition management, including the planning phase, material requisition, receipt of goods, through to delivery to site.  Key Duties:• Responsible for the requisitioning of bulk materials to include piping, electrical, instrumentation and civil requirements. • Requisitioning of tagged items in accordance with technical requirements.  Checks vendor drawings against issued requisitions to  ensure that the materials are to the correct specification, proper tagging and the material certifications are to the satisfaction of the engineering discipline.• Acts as a designated representative, a task focused resource, to ensure open lines of communication and that full coordination is maintained between Engineering, Procurement and Project site. • Inputs data and quantities of bulk and tagged materials into Smartplant Material Management System ‘Bill of Material’ (BOM) and ‘Requisitions ‘(REQ) preparations. Files all BOM’s, REQ’s, isometrics drawings, etc. so as to accommodate future tracking and accountability per ISO 9001.• Seeks requisition approval by acquiring approval signatures from various disciplines and project coordinators.• Plans and strategizes scheduling and materials availability in governing the beginning, efficiency and timing of the construction project fob effort.• Plans, projects and allocates manpower to various projects, plus with numerous discipline leads to establish the project parameters, schedules and other requirements.• Works with directly with procurement to obtain status and expediting reports. Reports and monitors the delivery of bulk material from the supplier to delivery site, whether it is sent to the town shop or designated to be sent to the field.• Attend Smartplant Super User training in order to become proficient within the system.
