Mechanical Design Engineer - Entry Level

Please include salary requirement when referring resume.International company in the Charleston area is interviewing for a MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER to support the design and localization of a product in cooperation with a Design Team in Europe. Will be research, develop and design components, equipment and systems ( options and modifications for new and current products)RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Support the implementation of a new product release and maintain product during its lifecycle - Prepare all required engineering documents and releases for SOP (start of production) - Create Bill of Material, Engineering Change Notices, drawings, etc. - Communicate with Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality and Production personnel - Design modifications and special applications for current products - Understand customer requirements and convert into technical options, offering custom solutions to application problemsEXPERIENCE PREFFERED: - Experience designing with 3D-CAD, preferably Unigraphics - Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics - 2-4 years mechanical engineering experience developing mechanical, structural and hydraulic systems for equipment. - Knowledge and understanding of weld symbols and process - Knowledge of SAE, ANSI, ASME, ISO, UP standards an advantage - Experience using and maintainign Bills of Materials, ERP within a MRP system, SAP knowledge a plus - Project management a helpful - German language skills a plusEDUCATION: - B.
