Mechanical Engineer Opportunity in Columbia, SC Area

A growing manufacturer in the Columbia, SC area is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to further develop their team. Job Function: Design and document Mechanical, Hydraulic and DC Electrical systems for Railway Maintenance Equipment Create and document Bills of Materials Provide support during manufacturing of equipment Coordinate design solutions with vendors for fit and function Exposure to FEA a plus Team Player Attitude required to be part of a multi-functional Project Team Travel up to 30% - to test, commission and troubleshoot machine functions. Requirements: CAD Proficiency required (Solid Edge preferred) PDM and ERP experience is a plus MS Word, MS Excel required and MS Project is a plus Good English written and verbal communication skills required Chinese communications skills a plus BS Mechanical Engineering 3 to 5 years experience in Machinery Design Required Experience in Mobile Equipment Design preferredQualified candidates please submit resumes as a Word document to heatherchampion@mergisgroup.com .
