Mechanical Engineer- Structural 2626

Perform structural analysis (which may include static, transient, vibration and shock analysis) using classical and FEA numerical solutions. This contractor may, depending on the assignment, select the analysis method, define analysis schedule and cost required for the task, perform the analysis, and provide oral and written documentation of the results.Basic Qualifications:

1. NASTRAN and ABAQUS, and with the finite element pre- and post processing functions of IDEAS, PATRAN and/or Hyperworks.

2. Should also have experience with non-linear transient dynamics, impact loads, and gaps.

3. Position requires a minimum of a Bachelors Science Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering, with an advanced degree preferred.

4. U. S. citizenship is required.
