UTRON, Inc. (www.UTRONinc.com) is seeking to hire an enthusiastic experienced senior-level MECHANICAL ENGINEER who will team up with our talented group to further research and development of new and existing programs. Business-casual work environment. This job is based in Manassas, VA (30 miles west of Washington, DC).

UTRON, Inc. is seeking an experienced senior level mechanical engineer to join our existing R&D team for:

Research and development of new concepts
Resolving technical issues and validating final designs
Documenting project statuses
Effectively communicating statuses of assigned projects to all teams, including executive management
Determining timelines, resources and budgets for programs
Mentoring junior members of technical staff
Providing process improvement strategies
Leading cross-functional teams to successful completion of engineered projects
Liaising with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule and with maximum client satisfaction
Grow and maintain new and existing client relationships


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BRING:

Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering
5 years of recent progressive mechanical design and analysis of heavy equipment
Previous experience in industry and/or federal projects is desired
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to interface and work in a team environment
Strong knowledge of computers, MS Office, and AutoCAD
Some supervisory experience preferred
Familiarity with ISO 9001 2000 is a plus
